High School Basketball - Capital City Fall Classic

Beginning in 2017, Hartford PAL has been the proud presenter of the Capital City Fall Classic, a Fall Basketball League for the high school basketball teams in the City of Hartford. This league allowed for those teams to compete in a full schedule fall league free of charge to prepare them for their respective high school seasons. Played at the PAL facility, each Monday night 8 Hartford teams square off in what would be a true city championship. Every team plays one another once in the regular season, all teams make the playoffs, and the final four is played in front of friends, family and supporters at the XL Center on the Monday before Thanksgiving. Multiple Media outlets are in attendance, while regular and post season awards are presented. Joey Batts serves as our honorary Master of Ceremonies. The results are listed below. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the 2020 installment of the Hartford PAL CCFC was cancelled.

The second annual CCFC saw a familiar face in (#1) Prince Teach facing off against the team they beat in the previous years Semi-Final in the Weaver Beavers. After Defeating (#4) Bulkeley and (#2) Weaver eliminating (#3) Hartford Public, the 2018 Championship see-sawed until the final minutes when Weaver pulled away and thwarted Prince's opportunity to win back to back championships. League MVP was presented to Prince Tech's Kazell Stewart while Co-Most Outstanding Player awards went to Tristen Reid and Ta'ki Blizzard.
