Baseball/Softball

in 2017, under the tutelage of former Uconn Husky and current Washington National Jack Sundberg, Hartford PAL created its very own PAL baseball team which has since turned into 3 teams as well as a softball team. Every Wednesday Coach Jack along with former Husky Aaron Hill, with guest appearances from Tyler Olander, bring a great love and energy to teach the game of Baseball to the PAL youth.

Jack recently launched Baseball 860. Baseball 860's is a non-profit who's mission is to: Provide support and inspiration for children grades K-12 through its services using baseball to help transform lives and strengthen communities. Jack and the staff at Baseball 860 put on clinics, lectures, and individualized training. Jack's vision of "Dream Big" is a must see presentation of the vision that he lives everyday.

Jack and Co. are a huge asset to our children at PAL and the goal of creating the PAL Baseball program would have been a hard task to take on without his guidance.

Starting in Spring 2018, Hartford PAL will be participating in the Mayor Mike's Little League as a part of the AAA Division. Next year we look to expand to have a team in every division. Please check the calendar for dates and times.

Hartford PAL Baseball won the Mayor Mike's 2018 AAA Division Championship. Starting from scratch with zero baseball experience, our group of young men (and one awesome young lady) worked hard to learn the game of baseball and get better every single day. As the season progressed they gained confidence and were lucky enough to be one of the teams that made the round robin championship round. With a bit of luck and sharp play, the Hartford PAL Baseball team captured the championship over a very tough Tigers team.

In 2019 Hartford PAL expanded its program to a Majors, AA (Coach Pitch) and AAA Softball Team. In total there were about 50 kids practicing and playing baseball everyday. Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 Pandemic baseball in 2020 did not happen, but we are looking forward to getting back on the Diamond in 2021.
