Hartford PAL Capital City Fall Classic Championship at the XL Center

HARTFORD —  Local basketball teams took to the hardwood Monday night at the XL Center for the Capital City Fall Classic Championship.

In Monday’s Final Four, Prince Tech defeated Hartford Public, 65-61.

Prince Tech’s Delshawn Jackson Jr., finished the game with 36 points and was named regular season MVP and tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Prince Tech finished the season with a record of 10-0; Hartford Public Finished 7-3.

The tournament was presented by the Hartford Police Athletic League and Hartford Police Department.

In the third installment of the Hartford PAL Capital City Fall Classic, the Semi-Finals featured (#4) Capital Prep facing off against (#1) Prince Tech and (#3) Bulkeley playing (#2) Weaver. 


Weaver and Prince moved on after a hard-fought battle to face off in back to back championships with this being Prince's third finals appearance in a row. Prince won in 2017 defeating Hartford Public, Weaver took the title in 2018 defeating Prince, but behind league MVP and the Tourny's Most Outstanding Player Kazell Stewart, the Prince Tech Falcons regaining superiority to win the 2019 Championship.
